Lavender Fest is scheduled for the week of July 14th at Out Front Theatre Company.

The first 200 applicants will be considered between January 20th and February 16th.
Lavender Fest will not accept applicants after 200 submissions have been sent. We encourage you always to try again next year!

By a diverse committee of artists, led by the Festival Director, representing multiple facets of the queer spectrum.

Show submission fee: $30
This submission fee is non-refundable.
Participation Fee depends on the type of venue you are assigned:
Main Stage (two performances): $350
Triangle Cabaret (three performances): $125
Special Event (one-night-only): $200
Family Friendly (two performances): $200
Both fees support the staff of Lavender Fest, marketing for the festival, administration of the festival, and other operational costs of the venue.

The box office tickets are split 60/40 in favor of the company performing.

Shows can’t exceed 60 minutes.
Our family-friendly event can’t exceed 90 minutes.

Not at this time, but if you need suggestions on where to stay, we are happy to help.

Yes! A document detailing what set pieces and props will be available after companies have accepted offers.

A stage manager will need to be present to run your show. If you’d like to hire one of our crew members to run your show, Lavender Fest will have stage managers available for hire.

No. A dynamic plot will be available for mainstage shows to share, with each show having its own program saved.

Yes, within reason. Lavender Fest will have plenty of space for storage that will be shared between all participating shows

Yes! The technical director of Out Front Theatre Company and Lavender Fest will be at your tech to help answer any questions and program if necessary.
The Festival Director of Lavender Fest will also be around to help artists feel at home.
